Winter on Martha's Vineyard...

"Snow"   a poem by Ms. Tracy Leigh Devine

When one really thinks about it,
Life is just a snowstorm waiting to happen;
With thousands upon thousands of souls
Drifting past each other, far from lost.
Sometimes they connect to others, but not always-
In a white wonderland where they press fast forward on time,
And idle and watch it go by in seconds,
Falling 'til they reach the ground in defeat.
Like people, not one snowflake is the same,
Yet they are all one in the end,
Coming together to make one of the same,
Perpetually falling, forever loving - one.

Something so beautiful could only melt.

It's only fair that our frozen children
Find their place, coming out of the clouds,
And onto our little piece of heaven on earth.
Snow is a fading memory-
Holding hands with someone special,
Walking through the storm, you smile.
Imagine what it would be like to be
The flake of snow on the end of your lover's tongue.
And for now, you are melting into
Each other's somewhat glorious piece of forever.
